This policy explains what personal data Atelier T collects when you visit ateliert.ae or buy from us, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other applicable UAE laws.
1. Who we are
ateliert.ae is the online store of Atelier T, a perfume house based in the United Arab Emirates. Atelier T is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, email info@ateliert.ae.
2. What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, the products you buy and your order history.
- Account details: if you create an account, your email address, password (stored in encrypted form) and saved addresses.
- Payment details: payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: what you tell us when you email us or contact customer care.
- Reviews: if you review a product you bought, your review and the name you choose to show with it.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the site, collected through cookies (see section 6).
3. How we use your data
- To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- To run your account, if you create one.
- To reply to your questions and requests.
- To keep the site and our customers safe, prevent fraud and fix technical problems.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping tax and accounting records.
- To send you news and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us run the store, and only as much as they need:
- delivery and courier companies, to deliver your order;
- our payment provider, to take payment securely;
- our hosting and email providers (including Google Cloud and Google Workspace), which store and send our data;
- professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed;
- public authorities, where the law requires it.
5. Storage outside the UAE
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the UAE. When this happens we use providers with strong security and contractual protections, as required by UAE law.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep your bag, checkout and account working. With your permission, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used and improve it. You can choose “Essential only” or “Accept all” when you first visit, and change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
7. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: for as long as UAE law requires us to keep them (generally at least five years).
- Account details: until you close your account.
- Messages: for as long as needed to deal with your request, then deleted after a reasonable period.
8. Your rights
Subject to the law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it;
- restrict or stop certain uses of your data, including marketing;
- withdraw any consent you have given.
To make a request, email info@ateliert.ae. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can also contact the UAE Data Office.
9. Security
We protect your data with secure connections, restricted access and trusted providers. No online service can be completely secure, so please keep your account password private.
10. Children
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
